I'm partnering with a global, private equity-backed industrial technology group on a high-profile M&A Director hire.
This is a build-out mandate, not a maintenance role. The business has a strong track record of acquiring and integrating complementary businesses, and with PE ownership behind it the ambition (and the firepower) has stepped up materially. You'll own the deal pipeline end to end and sit close to the executive team and the board.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading origination, evaluation and execution of acquisitions across multiple geographies
- Building and pressure-testing the inorganic growth strategy alongside the CEO, CFO and divisional leadership
- Running diligence, negotiation, structuring and integration planning
- Acting as the internal centre of gravity for all things M&A, managing advisers and stakeholders throughout
What I'm looking for:
- A strong track record of leading and closing acquisitions within a multi-site, international group
- Experience operating in or alongside a PE-backed environment and comfort with the pace and reporting that comes with it
- The credibility to influence a board and the rigour to walk away from the wrong deal
- A blend of corporate development and transaction experience (in-house, advisory or banking backgrounds all welcome)
The package is built around a c.£300k basic plus a strong bonus and long-term incentive structure.
