Our client, a global private equity mega fund with significant capital to deploy, is seeking a Director to join its Technology team. The role has a primary focus on software investing and offers the opportunity to lead large, complex transactions across North America, Europe and beyond.
The role:
- Originate, evaluate and execute software investments, leading deal teams through diligence, valuation, structuring and negotiation.
- Develop and drive investment theses across software sub-sectors, drawing on deep sector knowledge and an established network.
- Represent the firm on portfolio company boards and work closely with management teams on value creation and exit planning.
- Build and maintain relationships with management teams, co-investors, advisers and intermediaries.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
The candidate:
- A proven investment track record at a tier-one private equity firm, with demonstrable leadership on software transactions.
- Strong sector expertise across software, with a clear point of view on where value is created.
- Excellent financial, analytical and structuring skills.
- Experience of board-level engagement and portfolio value creation.
- Outstanding academic credentials; an MBA is advantageous.
- Comfortable operating in a global, fast-moving environment with regular travel.
